Construction Workers Day
Update for 3 May 2003

Today, May 3, is Construction Workers Day.  In celebration of the day, a brightly decorated cross was placed atop the building.

On the left is a picture on 3 May 2002.  On the right is one on 3 May 2003.

And the patio then and now.

If the cabinet makers will hurry up, there won't be a picture on 3 May 2004 -- I hope.

We now have cabinets in 2 of 4 bathrooms and 2 of 4 kitchens and bedroom closets for 2 houses, but we have interior doors in only one house.

Jesus completed another bathroom cabinet set.  Ruben is carrying in the pieces for Jesus to assemble in the bathroom.

Manuel is installing a ceiling fan in Paco's bedroom.  We should have all 23 fans installed before the end of next week.

For last year's party we cooked carne asada and sausages, this year the ladies made pork in chile colorado sauce, rice, beans and tortillas.  Very good.  They made a lot, so we took some to several of our neighbors.

The guys used fan boxes for tables.  Santa Claus brought his own table -- as always.
